It’s been a while

Hello everyone. Sorry about my absence.

I’m realizing now that it’s been 12-13 years since I first started this website. Back then, I was a meteorology student at the University of Oklahoma. Nowadays, I’m a professional meteorologist; a weather forecaster with 8 years of experience living near Seattle. It’s been nearly 7 years since I’ve seen a tornado.

Hopefully, that will be changing this spring. It’s looking like there’s a decent chance that I’ll be moving back to Illinois late April or early May of 2024. That being the case, my plan is to take off two weeks at the end of May to do a proper storm chase.

Until then, I will try to post more regularly. I have gotten into doing timelapses, although I haven’t done any recently. With it being the cold season here in Pacific Northwest (when we get out most interesting weather,) I should be getting some time lapses done. I’ll try posting a few older ones in the meantime.

Oh yeah. I have a cat now. His name is Thunder, and in two days from this post I will have had him for three years.
