Hello from Washington State!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while!

I guess a recap of events is in order. I was living in Peoria, Illinois, and working down in Washington, Illinois. But I applied for, and was hired at, a new job; this one in Bellevue, Washington. I moved from Peoria at the end of June, 2016 to my new home of Everett, Washington.

It’s been about three months now. It certainly has been a learning experience so far. Forecasting weather here in the Pacific Northwest is quite a bit different, and more challenging than forecasting weather in the Midwest. But I am definitely getting a hang of everything.

Unfortunately, I will not be doing any storm chasing around here. All my future storm chasing activities will be limited to whatever vacation days I take. But, given how much it cost me to move out here, it will be a while before I can afford to take a vacation. Also, I do not have a good view from my apartment. So, time lapses will be about non-existant while I’m at my current place. Perhaps in the future I will move to somewhere with a better view.

I guess that leaves me with the question of what to do with this website. I think I will use it as a blog, and post about my travels and such. Perhaps I will even start to cover some ag weather again in my free time.
